Hotel Policy

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Cancellations or adjustments made within 48 hours of check-in time (4 pm local hotel time) will result in additional fees. Please note that we will assess a fee of one night room and tax if you must cancel after this deadline.

ARE PETS ALLOWED IN THE HOTEL OR THE CLUB?

No pets are permitted on the property. Only service animals as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted and must be under the handler's control at all times. Emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals are not considered service animals under the ADA, and we do not allow them on premises.

ARE DEPOSITS REQUIRED TO MAKE A BOOKING?

A valid credit/debit card is required at the time of booking to hold your reservation. The credit/debit card may be authorized pre-arrival to ensure validity; however, no deposit will be taken. Upon check-in, a $100 incidental deposit will be charged per room per night. A 50% deposit is required to book meeting spaces and specialty suites.

IS THIS A SMOKE-FREE PROPERTY?

The Midtown Athletic Club is a 100% smoke-free facility. Violation of our Smoking Policy will result in a fee of $300.

Check-In/Out

WHAT IS THE CHECK-IN / OUT TIME?

Check-in time is at 4 pm and check-out time is at 11 am hotel local time.

CAN EARLY CHECK-IN/LATE CHECK-OUT BE ARRANGED?

We will make every effort to have your room or suite ready in time for your arrival. An early check-in/late check-out fee is applicable if guests would like to guarantee check in before 1 pm or check out after 12 pm, subject to availability.

Guests are welcome to start utilizing the our club facilities and amenities as early as 9 am on the day of arrival and after 11 am on day of departure, please register at the front desk.

CAN I STORE MY LUGGAGE AT THE HOTEL?

Complimentary luggage storage is available at the front desk for guests arriving prior to check-in time or wishing to utilize the property after check-out time.

Location / Transportation

DOES MY STAY INCLUDE PARKING?

Parking with unlimited in/out privileges is included with your stay. Simply press for a ticket upon garage entry, park on any level and validate your parking ticket at the desk each time before you depart. Parking is included in the daily resort fee.

WHAT ARE THE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS?

The hotel is minutes away from several popular neighborhood like Wicker Park, Bucktown and Lincoln Park by public buses, with closest stops at Fullerton / Damen. You may also connect to CTA / Metra trains to access other parts of the city and beyond, with closest CTA station at Fullerton and Metra station at Clybourn.

HOW DO I GET TO THE HOTEL FROM CHICAGO O'HARE / MIDWAY AIRPORT?

The Hotel at Midtown is just three blocks from the Kennedy Expressway and five miles from the Chicago Loop. Our building is located 13.6 miles away from O'Hare International Airport and 13.7 miles away from Midway International Airport. You can reach our venue by public transportation via the subway or train, or by private car or taxi.

WHAT NEIGHBORHOOD IS THE HOTEL IN? IS IT NEAR ANY KEY LANDMARKS / VENUES?

The hotel is located in Bucktown, which is a trendy, artistic neighborhood on Chicago's northwest side. It's also near several popular places to visit: it's less than 3 miles away from Wrigley Field, 3.3 miles from United Center, and less than 2 miles away from The Salt Shed.

Resort Fee

WHAT DOES IT COVER?

Resort fee covers two bottles of water per day, coffee, parking, Wi-Fi, and access to Midtown Athletic Club’s amenities including the full health club, pools and group fitness classes. Private & specialized services and programs (including Fitness, Golf, Tennis, Pilates & Spa) are available for an additional fee.

HOW MUCH IS THE RESORT FEE?

Daily resort fee is $45.00 + tax per room per night.

Payment

WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept all major credit & debit cards. Unfortunately, we do not accept cash or other electronic payment methods (e.g. Apple Pay).

IS DEPOSIT REQUIRED? HOW DO I PAY?

50% deposit is required for meeting space and suite bookings. Once the booking is made, our team will reach out with a payment link to arrange deposit payment.

Club Amenities

WHAT KIND OF AMENITIES ARE INCLUDED IN THE STAY?

As a hotel guest, you’ll be an honorary member of our premier athletic club. Whether you have a favorite workout or you’re looking to try a new one, you’ll find it at Midtown. Lift weights, join a class, center your mind and body, swim laps, or move in any other ways that inspire you. We invite you to take advantage of the latest fitness equipment and studio classes, both complimentary with your stay. After your workout, relax and unwind in our whirlpool, or make use of our eucalyptus steam room and sauna in our spacious changing room.

ARE THERE OTHER ADDITIONAL SERVICES THAT COME WITH AN EXTRA COST?

Private & specialized services and programs (including Fitness, Golf, Tennis, Pilates & Spa) are available for an additional fee. Need equipment? We're happy to loan you tennis racquets or golf clubs.

DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?

Additional amenities like tennis, pickleball, paddle courts, and golf simulators can be reserved by phone, email or in person up to one week before arrival. For schedules and programming, please visit Midtown Chicago's website.

IS THE SWIMMING POOL OPEN YEAR ROUND?

Our outdoor pool is open during the summer months, for lap swimming from May to October and for recreational swimming from June to September. Outdoor pool is 21+ after 8:00 pm Monday to Friday, and after 3:00 pm on Saturday. Our inddor lap pool is open year round. Both pools feature 25-yard lap lanes, and whirlpools for anyone aged 16 or older.

CAN I BRING MY GUESTS IN TO USE THE CLUB AMENITIES?

Only registered guests that are staying at the hotel are allowed to use our club amenities. We do not offer any guest / day passes to outside guests.

Accessibility

IS THE HOTEL WHEEL-CHAIR ACCESSIBLE?

Yes, the hotel and the club is wheel-chair accessible.

WHAT ARE THE SPECIAL FEATURES IN YOUR ACCESSIBLE ROOMS?

Our ADA accessible rooms come with features including door levers, drapery wand, visual alarms and door bell buzzers, handheld shower wands, grab bars, lower level closet rods, and bathtubs.

WHAT KIND OF ACCESSIBLE FACILITIES ARE THERE?

Our accessible facilities include automatic front entrance, handicap parking spots, elevator access to all floors, ADA accessible rooms, and wheelchair pool lift.

Family-friendly

DOES THE HOTEL OFFER CHILDCARE AND/OR BABYSITTING SERVICE? ARE THERE ANY ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS DURING OUR STAY?

Bring the whole family to Midtown for a family vacation! Our family-friendly hotel offers dedicated childcare services at Kidtown and fun programming for kids of all ages. Hotel guests can enjoy up to two hours of Kidtown service per day during a stay, a fee of $35 for 2 hours per child (aged 2 months – 12 years) will apply.

ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS FOR CHILDREN IN THE PROPERTY?

Kidtown service is subject to change based on seasonality and restrictions, parents are required to be within club premise when their children are using the Kidtown facilities.

Outdoor swimming pool is exclusively 21+ after 8:00 pm on Monday to Friday, and after 3:00 pm on Saturday during summer months. There are areas in the club that are age-restricted (e.g. fitness floors / studios), please check with the front desk for more information.

ARE STROLLERS ALLOWED AT THE PROPERTY?

Strollers are not allowed in the club outside of your guest room.

Food & Beverage

WHAT ARE THE FOOD & BEVERAGE OFFERINGS AT THE HOTEL?

Chromium, our full-service restaurant on level 2, is Midtown’s gathering space, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner with fresh and delicious farm-to-table dining. The bar also serves creative cocktails and an extensive list of beverage options, while the grab-and-go counter offers your daily quick fix including Intelligentsia coffee and delicious smoothies made fresh in-house.

During summer months (weather permitting), guests can also enjoy SIX Rooftop Bar and poolside dining area for the best al fresco experience.

Chromium can seat parties of up to 8 people. For larger parties, our private dining room and event spaces are also available. For reservations and more information, please contact the Events team.

CAN YOU CATER TO SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

We try our best to cater to our guests' dietary requirements, please reach out to our associates if you have any special requests.

ARE THERE ANY NEARBY DINING OPTIONS OUTSIDE OF THE HOTEL?

Our hotel is surrounded by several of Chicago's hottest neighborhoods including Wicker Park, Bucktown and Lincoln Park, where you will find a myriad of dining options from around the world. Our hospitality team is happy to offer recommendations, please visit the front desk for any questions.

IS ROOM SERVICE AVAILABLE AT THE HOTEL?

Unfortunately we do not offer room service, but guests are welcome to order food and pick up from Chromium.

CAN I BRING IN MY OWN FOOD & BEVERAGE TO ENJOY AT THE CLUB?

Outside food and beverages are not allowed outside your guest room. We also do not allow outside food and beverage at the Penthouse when there are more than four registered guests. Catering service is available for larger parties.

Events

WHAT EVENT VENUES & SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE HOTEL AT MIDTOWN?

The Hotel at Midtown is ideal for hosting private events, from intimate, social gatherings to corporate meetings and retreats. Our versatile venues of various sizes can host from 12 to 160 guests, with all-inclusive catering and event planning services included for a hassle-free event experience. DO YOU OFFER CATERING SERVICE? CAN I CATER MY EVENT WITH AN 3RD PARTY VENDOR?

Due to our health regulations, liquor ordinances and liability insurance, it is required that all food and beverages be purchased through The Hotel at Midtown. Food and beverage minimums will apply.

IS PRIVATE DINING AVAILABLE?

Private dining is available at our array of venues, including Chromium's private dining room and our Penthouse Suite.

IS PARKING AVAILABLE FOR EVENT GUESTS?

Hotel guests can enjoy free parking with unlimited in-and-out privileges in our secure, covered garage throughout their stay. On-site parking is also available for outside guests at a rate of $4/hour.

CAN I ARRANGE ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR MY EVENT GUESTS?

All hotel guests have full access to the club facilities. We can also arrange privatized classes and events such as yoga, pickleball and tennis lessons for bonding between teams or friends and family.

DO YOU OFFER GROUP / ROOM BLOCKS?

We offer courtesy room blocks starting at 10 rooms, with a 2-night minimum.

Spa

DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OR STAY AT THE HOTEL TO VISIT THE SPA AT MIDTOWN?

No you don't! The Spa at Midtown is open to all guests with advance reservations. If you are not a member or a hotel guest, simply reach out to the front desk upon arrival, they are happy to guide you to the spa.

WHAT AMENITIES CAN I ENJOY DURING MY SPA VISIT?

Spa guests can make use of the club's luxurious locker room with, whirlpool, sauna and eucalyptus steam room before and after their treatments.

WHAT KIND OF SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE SPA?

The Spa at Midtown is a full-service day spa with a wide range of services including body massages, facial treatments, hair care and salon experiences, manicure and pedicure, and gentleman's barbershop services.

HOW DO I MAKE MY SPA RESERVATION?

Reservations can be made by calling the spa at (773) 687-7415, or online by visiting the Spa page, the Spa team will reach out to confirm your booking shortly.

Membership

AS A MEMBER, DO I GET ANY PERKS FOR STAYING AT THE HOTEL?

Members get up to 20% discount on hotel stays, plus a waived resort fee. Members can also enjoy 20% discount on meeting space rental (except for SIX). Please contact the hotel reservations team for enquiry and reservations. Members staying at the hotel can enjoy unlimited parking privilege during the stay, please pull a ticket at garage entrance instead of using your parking pass, and visit front desk for validation.
